Craig Pond is a Stoke-on-Trent native, a member of the BNP and the Chairman of the Potteries Community Federation. He is always outspoken, often berated, described by many as offensive, but NEVER ducks a question. Today [Monday] whilst gauging reaction to the news that the Deputy Chairman of the British National Party [BNP] had resigned, I spoke to Mr Pond. He gave his views on Simon Darby's resignation and a whole load of other BNP related topics, including the need for Leader Nick Griffin to g

George Osborne says his top priority is cutting the deficit. But in order to get the deficit down, you need to keep economic growth up and you need to keep unemployment down. You don’t get borrowing down by pulling the plug on support for business, throwing people out of work and stifling economic growth.

How about a little crystal ball gazing? What will the NHS under the coalition be like in the future years? How will the changes impact upon the lives of the people of North Staffs? I have looked at the manifesto pledges of both Lib dems and Tories and here are my hunches for the future of local health care.

Everyone seems to believe that a deal has already been done to form a coalition of the Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem and Independent Groups to run Stoke-on-Trent City Council. Although Labour are thrilled to have increased their numbers on the council they actually gained more than they thought and it has given them a big headache.

Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown made a very dignified exit from No 10 Downing Street last night as it came apparent that David Cameron's Conservatives were about to enter into a hard coalition with Nick Clegg's Liberal Democrats. Gordon Brown spoke passionately from the heart and conceded that he had failed to engage the nation during their Election Campaign and that he had his frailties.

As the dust settles on both the General and Local Elections, the various parties will start analysing their performances and making the changes they need as a result. Questions are being asked of the party leaders, particularly those who failed to deliver. Gordon Brown is facing calls from a few of his MPs to step down and the same can be said of the British National Party Leader Nick Griffin.

Stoke-on-Trent's electorate went to the polls on Thursday 6th May to vote in both the local and General Elections. There had been a lot of hype about the General Election.

The electorate of Stoke-on-Trent go to the polls today and select the politicians they think will best represent their views and needs. The nation faces a massive decision today. Whether to stick with a Labour Government in a kind of 'better the devil you know' type of thing.

The only way we can stop the BNP in Stoke, get our local economy moving and sort out the problems our country is facing is if people vote Conservative. As a daughter of a factory worker born and bred in the Midlands, with family in Stoke and having studied at Keele University, I understand local peoples concerns. I want to change the way Labour has let down our families, damaged our city and destroyed our country. We need jobs, industry, better housing, healthcare, services and I will lead the w
