Stoke-on-Trent’s three Conservative Parliamentary candidates have jointly and roundly condemned the English Defence League march which is due to take place this weekend in the City Centre. Norsheen Bhatti, James Rushton and Andy Large expressed their disappointment and concern that the EDL have targeted Hanley for their demonstrations, which have often resulted in violence and hatred towards those who oppose the views of the EDL. The three Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidates for Stoke-on-Trent have been announced. Andrew Large has been selected for Stoke on Trent North. The seat is currently hels by Joan Walley MP [Labour]. Large faces a projected Labour majority of nearly 14,000. The Liberal Democrat PPC is local party Chairman elect David Jack. James Rushton has been selected for Stoke on Trent South. He will need to defeat the very popular Robert Flello MP [Labour].
