The Chairman of the British National Party Nick Griffin chose to launch his party's manifesto in the city he describes as the BNP 'Jewel In The Crown' - Stoke-on-Trent. He described the manifesto as the most comprehensive his party have ever produced and that it proves that there is more to the BNP than immigration.

Michael Coleman is currently a servicing councillor on Stoke-on-Trent City Council in the Weston and Meir North ward. Michael is also Leader of Stoke-on-Trent BNP group in the City Council.
Michael Coleman stood for election as a BNP candidate in the 2005 General Election in Stoke-on-Trent Central coming 4 behind Labour, Liberal Democrats & Conservative with 2,178 (7.8%) votes.

The British National Party has launched it's 2010 General Election Campaign here in Stoke-on-Trent. At a press conference in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, Party Leader Nick Griffin addressed his party faithful and the assembled media and told them that his party's campaign demanded the withdrawal of British troops from Afghanistan and a halt to immigration.
The new leader of the BNP Group in Stoke-on-Trent, Michael Coleman, has today issued the message that it is very much business as usual for his party. Coleman has been confirmed as the party’s new leader following a group meeting last week. Anthony Simmonds has been named as the groups deputy leader. Speaking to Pits’n’Pots today Mike Coleman said: 'Although I’m pleased to be the new group leader the news is somewhat tainted with disappointment with the fact that Alby Walker had to resign'.
