Last night Stoke City held their Player Of The Year Awards at the Britannia Stadium. Winger Matthew Etherington bagged a hat-trick to cap his excellent season when Stoke City staged their Player of the Year Stadium Show on Sunday evening. The winger was named Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and the Red and Whites Player of the Year as the Potters celebrated an outstanding season.

Yesterday councillors meeting as the Audit Committee on Stoke-on-Trent City Council were once again angry and disappointed as the District Auditor failed to present his report first requested, unbelievably in October 2008, on the sale of the shares in the Britannia Stadium by the City Council.

Football fans are being urged to make sure they leave plenty of time to arrive at the Britannia Stadium for the match on Saturday. Stoke City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Britannia Stadium for the match which kicks off at 3pm. The Midlands Grand National is also taking place this Saturday at Uttoxeter Racecourse, so traffic is set to be very heavy in the east of the county. Fans travelling from London for the match are being recommended to use the M6 route rather than the M1.

By Peter Potter - the voice inside Stoke City. Peter Potter’s occasional columns have often noted the difference between Stoke City’s on-field and off-field performances. On the one hand, you have Tony Pulis continually tweaking the noses of Premiership snobs and proving it is possible to survive in ‘the best league in the world’ without forcing a club to live beyond its means.

With the news that the Mali international will be fit for this Saturday's clash with Portsmouth, do you think that he should re-gain his place in the starting 11 after being out injured? I'm a big fan of Mama's, and have felt that we have missed him when he hasn't played previously, particularly his ability to hold the ball up. However, with the arrival of Beattie (surely the first name on the team sheet?), I just don't see where Sidibe will fit in... With Fuller out injured, Pulis may

We here at pitsnpots are no kill joys! But the parking on the A50 & the A500 on match days is beyond comprehension. Something has to be done because it's an accident waiting to happen. Do folk park in these places to avoid paying the £2 parking fee or is there simply nowhere to park. Public transport in this city is a joke, we all know that when you compare it with places like Sheffield and Manchester ect.
