Officers recovered drugs from an address in Williamson Street, Tunstall. Meanwhile a warrant was executed in Dartmouth Street, Burslem where several plants, believed to be cannabis plants, were recovered.
The two men, aged in their 30’s, were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with the intent to supply and on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis. They were taken to the force’s Northern Area Custody Facility for questioning.
Both addresses had been targeted by police following information received from members of the public concerned about suspicious activity at the locations.
Insp Mark Hardern, commander of Tunstall Neighbourhood Policing Unit (NPU), said: “As a result of concerns made by members of the public about drugs activity in the area, we have taken positive action. Today’s activity was conducted under Operation Nemesis, the force’s ongoing campaign to tackle drug dealers. We will continue to act on information received concerning drugs misuse. The message to those involved is all too clear – you will be caught and dealt with.”
